Thsi desert spiny lizard (Sceloporus magister) was photographed in Phoenix, AZ. I love the colors on this one. They are extremely brave little creatures and give a nice bite when you pick them up. Ouch! I can now add this guy to the ever growing list of animals I have been bitten by. :)
