bigeyephoto > These west indian whistling ducks were photographed on a pond in the Cayman Islands. In many areas throughout the Caribean they are extremely rare. However I observed on this day a flock of over 50 birds gathered on the shoreline. Locals say this is always a hot spot for the ducks on the island.

bigeyephoto > This american wigeon was photographed on a pond in San Diego County. I love the green tint to the water from the reflecting trees. I think it compliments the green in the head of the wigeon.

bigeyephoto > This juvenile male Bufflehead was preening at Bolsa Chica in Huntington Beach, CA. The bufflehead is our smallest duck in North America and for me has been very dificult to approach. This was my best action shot on this day.
